Fantasy Football 2011: 10 Players He Hates

There's an article on Yahoo Sports by some tool named Brad Evans, and it's called "10 players I hate more than you".  This article is supposedly about 10 players that you should avoid in Fantasy Football this season.  I think Brad is writing this specifically so that the people in HIS fantasy leagues won't draft the players that he wants.  Anyway, let's look at his list, and I'll tell you why he's a total idiot if this is indeed a real list of players that he doesn't like for fantasy in 2011.

Greg Jennings - Seriously?  He starts off his peice with Jennings?  He HATES Jennings this year?  Let's see here, why is that, Brad?  Is it because Jennings' lowest yardage total in the last 3 seasons was 1,113?  Is it because he only got 12 TD's in 2010?  Yeah I get it, he only got 4 TD's in 2009, but come on, man.  Jennings will easily be a top 10 WR in 2011, so don't be a fool, and listen to Brad the Tool.

Michael Turner - Brad, 2009 is in the rearview mirror, bro.  Yes, the old Turner the Burner was back in 2010, with 1,371 yards rushing and 12 TD's.  Who do you like then??  Are you on the McFadden bandwagon?  You're a big Shonn Greene guy? You think Bradshaw is a better option here?  Seriously, when people go to draft an RB, and Peterson, CJ, Foster, Rice, J. Charles are gone, your're taking an MJD or Turner, there's no other option unless your a tool.

Maurice Jones-Drew - oh here we go.  Unbelievable.  Read the last sentence I just wrote about RB's, and who you need to pick once the other guys are gone.  Oh is Gore a safer option???  Mr. Broken Hip Gore is a better option here!?  Seriously, if you were driving down 76 right now, I'd road rage your ass into the Schuylkill river!

Antonio Gates - know how I know your an idiot?  Because you have Antonio Gates in your "10 players I hate" list.  The guy single-handedly won championships for fantasy players all over the world FOR THE LAST 7 YEARS STRAIGHT!  And now all of a sudden it's time to hate him?  I know, he's been in a lot of "game-time decision" situations, where you don't know if he's going to play until the last second.  I hear you, I've been there before with Gates.  But come on now, in 2010 for example, was it better to go with Dallas Clark? Oh wait, he only lasted until week 6.  I agree, maybe Witten is the safe pick, but there's only 4 tier 1 TE's, Gates is one of them.  So you don't pass on Gates and take a Tier 2 TE.  You go with the guy who has been a stud for 7 straight years. Tool.

Ryan Matthews - well I guess I agree finally on one of your players.  But then again I was never on the Matthews train to begin with.  This is only his 2nd year.  Just because he gets drafted to "be the guy", doesn't mean he's going to BE THE GUY!  Same goes for the rookie RB's of 2011.  Ryan Matthews is an easy target, nobody wants Matthews in the first place, way to cherry pick, Brad.

Brandon Marshall - OK here comes another easy target!  Brad, of course you don't like Marshall, because Henne is the QB in Miami, I get it bro.  But if he's the "14th WR off the board in average drafts", as you say, how does that make him "grossly overvalued".  If he was "grossly overvalued", he's be going in the top 10.  But he's not, he's going 14th.  You failed to mention a single WR who is getting drafted AFTER Marshall, who would be a better option to take instead of him.  Put up or shut up.

Joe Flacco - now you're just wasting my time.  Nobody is going to draft Flacco as their starting QB, he's going to be somebody's backup QB.  We know he's not a starter because we know there are 12 better options at QB, you're stating the obvious here.  Why don't you just mention Cassel or Bradford or E. Manning or Kolb, they're all backups, and everybody knows they are backups. Who hates backups1? That's just plain mean.

Mark Ingram - Yeah OK fine, hate the rookie RB.  That's fine, because you SHOULD hate a rookie RB, unless it's a few years ago and that rookie's name is Adrian Peterson.  You were on the right track, until you called Daniel Thomas the fantasy ROY.  If you mean ROY as in "this year's fantasy ROY WILLIAMS", then I agree with you. If you mean "Fantasy Rookie of the Year", then you are a tool.  Thomas won't hit 700 yards rushing, and will have 5 TD's or less.  Ingram will have better stats than Thomas.  But neither of them should be your RB1 or RB2, so here you are again talkin' bout backups.

Steve Smith - The Carolina Steve Smith.  The one who was invisible in 2010.  The one that nobody is going to draft as a starting WR in 2011.  The one who will be drafted as a WR5 or WR6.  Cherry pickin' once again. What an incredible waste of my time, reading this nonsense.

Matt Schaub - Yeah ok, the guy throwing the ball to Andre Johnson is somebody that you hate?  If you hate Schaub, shouldn't you also hate Andre Johnson? Funny because you didn't mention Andre in your list.  First off, you say that he was the "13th-best signal caller in fantasy" last year.  I don't know what scoring system you are using but I'm pretty sure he was easily the 7th best fantasy QB in 2010.  Eli Manning was at least 30 points below him.  Hey, if you want to skip a QB in that round and get Eli a round or 2 later, do it.  Hate Schaub if you must, but at least do it based on facts.  The facts are that he played in all 16 games both in 2009 and 2010.  The facts are that he threw for over 4000 yards in 2009 and 2010.  The facts are that he threw 29 TD's in 2009 and 24 TD's in 2010.  Facts are that Andre Johnson is the WR that he throws the ball to.  Face the facts, Brad, you're a tool.

So there you have it folks, if you want to be a tool like Brad, hate every last 1 of these players!
